The Stephen's House

So about a month ago I got offered a perfect job!!! I had not been very successful at finding any cleaning gigs or music students. :( When I handed out flyers to the Island Music Guild I talked with Shari's friend Norm for a bit. He asked me about Music Therapy etc. Then weeks later he was in touch with Shari and wanted to hire me to work at The Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation at the Stephen's House. They needed someone for a temporary position and he just remembered that I had worked with this population! I was so so so excited when I heard and even more excited once I met with the people I'd be working with! Basically it is a day program for people with special needs and we just have fun and try to better their lives. They liked me because I could incorporate music a lot of the time. So we have sing alongs and play instruments, etc. LOVE IT!

First day on the job one of the clients drew a picture of me. A very good likeness eh?

We do fun things like go to the Seattle Waterfront Arcade park and play games.

I'm getting pretty good at being creative and making artsy things!

We also make and sell donuts to raise some funds since it is a non-profit organization.

I really feel so lucky to have this job! It is so fun! I really missed working with and helping people. I have made some good friends and I will be sad to leave next month!!!

I just wanted to add a few more photos from my awesome summer with some of my favorite people!!!
